The Colorku Story

Colorku is the original ‘Sudoku in Color’ wooden board game.

Our family started making Colorku in 2005, by drilling holes into old wooden planks and hand-painting hundreds of wooden balls at our cabin near Lake Michigan. Now, ColorKu is played by many as a fun, challenging pastime and has been used as an educational and mental strengthening tool in schools and hospitals around the world.

Colorku can be played alone or with others. Use puzzle cards to set up the board and deductive reasoning to fill in the missing spaces. One of each color fits in every column, row, and square. Solutions are included.

– A solutions sheet and a color conversion card that will help you to convert traditional Sudoku number puzzles to play on your ColorKu board

If you’re a fan of Sudoku, you and your family will love ColorKu! Instead of using numbers to solve the puzzles, ColorKu uses brightly colored wooden marbles.

Playing the puzzle on a wooden board allows you to rotate the game to give you a different perspective as you play. ColorKu will help sharpen your Logic and Deductive reasoning skill! ColorKu comes with 104 puzzle cards in five levels of difficulty. The cards tell you where to place the marbles on the board in order to start your game. The puzzle is solved by placing the remaining marbles on the board so that there is one of each color in each row, each column, and each of the nine 3×3 squares.

The game emphasizes logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving and fun! Place it on the coffee table and you’re ready whenever you feel like a challenge.
